he tried.

i'm not feeling particularly eloquent these days, but i have to pay my respects to a favourite recently deceased author.

scottopic and modrnangel have pretty much covered the same bases i had in thought, so with all due credit and thanks - their statements.

d0m reminded that when in such a state, he lives forever in the past, and the view of Time is best seen as we can look upon the Rocky Mountains, not a linear string of beads. He's hit the eternity frequency, and if anything, he's more a part of us now and forever forward than when he was stuck in his frumpled stack of meat.

I could wax grandiloquent about Kurt Vonnegut's death but I won't. I'll leave it at this: I discovered him at the cusp of young adulthood and his novels changed my life. I wouldn't think what I think or say what I say without him.

You'll be sorely missed, especially now.
